Motivated by hard work, consistency, patience, and persistence, Abdou Mballey has long excelled in cloud technology, bolstered by an impressive background in computer science. While he initially set out to become a medical doctor as he has always loved helping people, the Africa-born immigrant found pursuing a career in the medical field in the United States would be too expensive, which led him into his field. Upon earning a bachelor’s in software engineering and communication technology from the Fotso Victor Institute of Technology in 2006, he worked as a project manager and a telecommunication engineer with Orange Cameroun in his native Cameroon for five years. He then co-founded and served as the managing director at WandaTech from 2014 to 2017 before furthering his education and credentials with a master’s in computer science from the University of Central Oklahoma.
Mr. Mballey found success as an IT engineer and Agile coach with Honeywell between 2017 and 2019 and lent his expertise to Cognizant, where he was active as a Lead Agile consultant, senior manager, and an Agile coach of data protection engineering and cloud security. Since 2019, he has advanced to further leadership roles as the founder and chief executive officer at Mars Consulting LLC, a firm specializing in assisting individuals and companies with agile development strategies. He started it in order to help those struggling to find their way forward and guide them on their path. In addition to these responsibilities, he has been the senior staff program manager, release engineer, and agile transformation coach at Insulet Corporation since 2022, where he coordinates data cloud integration, helps support security improvements and business performance, and ensures smooth program increment execution to deliver products to customers and clients efficiently. Since 2023, he has served as the co-founder of ACARA LLC.
Most happy when helping people, Ms. Mballey has long been active across civic organizations. A peer educator through Rural Development Initiatives, he also served as an IT consultant for Garden for Education and Healing Orphanage and was a surveyor for UNICEF. Looking toward the future, his goal is to become financially stable while improving his skills, continuing to learn, advancing in his career, and enhancing his voluntary work, all in service of better assisting others. Earlier in his career, Mr. Mballey worked for Orange Cameroun in his native Cameroon as a project manager/ telecommunication engineer, beginning in 2009. He also co-founded and served as the managing director at WandaTech from 2014 to 2017 and held positions as information technology engineer and Agile coach at Honeywell between 2017 and 2019. Born in Bamenda, Cameroon, Mr. Mballey studied locally, earning a bachelor’s degree in information and communication technology from Fotso Victor Institute of Technology.
Subsequently, he achieved a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Central Oklahoma. Mr. Mballey also completed coursework in organizational leadership at Harvard Business School Online and SAP material management/inventory management at Michaelmanagement.com. These academic achievements have been instrumental in his professional success. Moreover, Mr. Mballey has earned numerous certifications that underscore his expertise. These include certified SAFe® 6 practice consultant, certified collective capabilities consultant, certified change consultant, SAFe® remote trainer, certified SAFe® 5 scrum master, and certified SAFe® 5 program consultant, AWS solution architect, big data hadoop among others.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Mballey is actively involved in civic organizations.
